BREAKING THE COVENANT OF SETBACK OR BACKWARDNESS

Bible Reading: Isaiah 28:18

“And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it” Isaiah 28:18.

God has never wanted His children to experience calamity or setback. His plan and purpose for everyone are to be fruitful and successful. But the reverse is the case for many people today because they are bound with the covenant of setback knowing or unknowing to them.

How does it happen?

Many people are experienced setbacks in their business, job, academic, finances, marriage as well as a ministry as a result of the evil covenant of setbacks that have been established against them. This can happen through your sins, or parents or friends or associations.

It is possible that the enemy make a covenant of setback against you without your notice. It may happen by reporting you in their meeting and presenting your name as well as your picture to them. The enemy can use the money to make an evil covenant of setback against you. They can collect certain money from you, and refunding the money to you can become an attack because the money has been invoked with evil.

In addition, your father or mother or grandparents may have entered into a covenant with an idol on behalf of his children yet unborn. This is an inherited covenant and it may focus on the setback, and unknowingly, you are into the covenant unknowingly and without your consent.

For instance, some years back, a brother is a salesman with a company, and he supplied goods to people, and they paid him the money for the goods. But after some hours, the money which is more than five hundred thousand nairas turned to two thousand five nairas. This is the beginning of a setback for this brother. He couldn’t trace the person that did this evil because there are many customers that have paid him on that fated day.

The enemy can invoke or charge cloth with evil power, and once you wear such evil cloth, the evil invoked into the cloth will start working against you, and it will lead to a setback. On many occasions, people call me that they lost their paint, underwear, cloth, etc. sometimes the part of your cloth can be cut without your consent. All these are evil ways that the devil and his agents operate against the people of God.

Dr Daniel Olukoya said: “I always counsel Christians to anoint any second-hand material they buy because sometimes these items are stolen goods that could bring evil repercussions on the buyer.”

It is possible to buy second-hand goods like cars or motor and it may have been a curse. I remember the first motor I bought was a cursed car. It caused a setback to my life, and finances, even my business collapsed as a result of this car. I spend almost all my money by then on this car but all my efforts are in vain. Until I met a man of God by then, he told me that I should sell the car because it has been cursed and anyone using it will always experience setbacks.

You too may have experienced such before, or you always experience setbacks in anything you do or any business you involve, instead to be progressive, the reverse is the case. However, the good news is that Jesus Christ had broken the power of any covenant through HIS BLOOD. That’s, you can be set free from any evil covenant that may have bound you.

Steps to break the covenant of setback:

• Firstly, come back to Jesus Christ and handover everything unto Him – Matthew 11:28
• Secondly, confess and repent all your sins – Luke 13:3-5, Acts 3:19, 39
• Thirdly, flee from any ungodly association – 1 Corinthians 15:33
• Fourthly, engage in fervent and violent prayers and fasting – 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
• Lastly, speak the word of God against any evil covenant.

Prayers to Break the covenant of setback:

1. Father, I come unto you today, have mercy unto me and forgive all my sins, in the name of Jesus.
2. By the power in the blood of Jesus, I uproot the seed of setback in my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. By the blood of Jesus Christ, I break the covenant of setback in my life and marriage, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every force behind the covenant of setback in my life or marriage, receive sudden death today, in the name of Jesus.
5. By the blood of Jesus Christ, I terminated the existence of setback covenant in my business, in the name of Jesus.

11. By the blood of Jesus Christ, I break every ancestral evil covenant of setback working against my life, in the name of Jesus.
12. Every hidden evil covenant causing a setback in my life, I renounce you and break you now by the blood of Jesus.
13. Every dark law enforcement agency enforcing evil covenant in my life and family, die in Jesus name.
14. Every trans-generational covenant of setback, I destroyed it today by the blood of Jesus Christ.
15. By the blood of Jesus, I terminate any covenant of setback that has been invoked into my life through dream or eating, in the name of Jesus.
16. By the blood of Jesus, I break the covenant of setback originated from the evil altar of my father’s house, in the name of Jesus.
17. By the blood of Jesus, I break the covenant of setback originated from the evil altar of my mother’s house, in the name of Jesus.
18. By the blood of Jesus, I break the covenant of setback originated from the evil altar of my in-law’s house, in the name of Jesus.
19. By the blood of Jesus, the foundation of the covenant of setback in my life, be broken today, in the name of Jesus.
20. By the blood of Jesus Christ, I break any evil covenant in the foundation of the house where am living right now or I have ever lived, affecting my progress and life, in the name of Jesus.
21. Any agreement that is causing a setback for me, your time is over today; die in the name of Jesus.
22. Every satanic protocol causing a setback in my marriage, be scattered now, in the name of Jesus.
23. Any power backing up evil covenant in my life, die in Jesus name.
24. By the blood of Jesus, I break every hidden and unknown covenant troubling my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
