PRAYER FOR DIVINE FAVOUR

Bible Reading: Luke 1:26-38, 2 CORINTHIANS 6:2

“26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:26-38

Favour is defined as “an act of kindness, approval, goodwill.

Generally, life does not answer to struggle or academic qualifications. Life answers to favour. A person either enjoys favour or swims in misfortune. Favour is what distinguishes God’s people from the world. The reality of been decorated with divine favour can be established through fervent prayer for divine favour.

When you are led by God, your labour is flavoured with favour and the effect is outstanding and remarkable. Psalm 30:5 says: “…in His favour is life…” God’s favour makes life interesting and pleasant; it’s the grace that enables one to escape disgrace in life. Favour is linked to the mysterious key that opens up destinies. It is God’s willingness for generous treatment and exceptional kindness to someone special. It is the good hand of God upon the life of an individual.

Favour can also be described as God’s divine partiality towards a person. Therefore, you don’t earn favor, you obtain it. A case in point is Jacob and Esau (Romans 9:13). In Nehemiah 1:8, though Nehemiah was a slave yet because of God’s hand upon him, he obtained favor from the king to go and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

THE IMPORTANCE OF DIVINE FAVOUR:

There are several important of favor, among are:

• Favor guarantees supernatural prosperity. Exodus 12:35-36.
• It commits people to go beyond their natural power to help the favoured of the Lord. It is an irresistible force that propels people to render needed help. Daniel 1:9.
• Favour deliver what labour cannot give- Deut. 6:10-12
• We need a favour to get a good wife or any other good thing as the case maybe. Proverbs 18:22.

HOW TO POSITION FOR GOD’S FAVOUR

Since favour cannot be bought or acquired, it is important to position ourselves correctly for this free gift of God.

• Be righteous. Psalm 5:12. Joseph was favoured by his father because he did not go into evil deeds like his brothers. Genesis 37:2. Jesus was in favour because He does what pleases His Father. John 8:29. Jesus had favor with GOD and man from the beginning of His life-Luke 2:52.
• Don’t forsake Mercy and Truth. Proverbs 3:3-4 In simple understanding, show mercy to others and God will favour you.
• Do Good. Proverbs 12:2. Favour follows anyone that is divinely guided and the currency to it is right standing with God.

PRAYERS FOR DIVINE FAVOUR

1. My Father and my Lord, have mercy unto me and forgive all my sins, in the name of Jesus.
2. By the grace of God, as from today O Lord, let your favour continuing to be upon my life in the name of Jesus.
3. As of today O Lord my God, let me obtain your favor in all areas of my life in the name of Jesus.
4. My Father and my Lord, let people experience changes through your favour in my life in the name of Jesus. Genesis 30:27
5. In the sights of everyman, O Lord let me found your favor, in Jesus name. Genesis 39:20-21
6. Everything that I desire to achieve but I found difficult to do, O Lord my God uses your favour to do them for, in Jesus name.
7. All the doors of favor that had been closed against me, Father open them for me, in the name of Jesus.
8. Father, everything that is good but has hidden from me, let Your favor release them for me today, in the name of Jesus.
9. The entire good thing that had been hidden from me to achieve or obtain; I claim them with the favour of God in the name of Jesus.
10. By the mercy of God, I obtain the favour of God today in the name of Jesus.
11. My God, as from today made great people in the high places favourably dispose towards me in Jesus name. Exodus 11:3
12. In my examinations or promotion exams, O God, let me receive your favour so that I can have excellent results in the name of Jesus.
13. Father, as you favour Mary and she gave birth to the world Saviour, O Lord Give me your favor so that I can have a special baby that will proclaim the Glory of God in the world in Jesus name.
14. All my sins that can hinder me to obtain the favor of God, O God my Lord, use Your favor to remove them with precious Blood of Jesus Christ, in Jesus name.
15. The house that I desire to build, the car that I aim to ride and the position I dream to be, O Lord let me obtain your favor so that it can be possible for me to achieve them all in the name of Jesus.
16. The foundation of my destiny that had been destroy, O God of Israel, use your favor to repair it for me in Jesus name.
17. Call the name of Jesus Christ 3 times, O Lord; open the door of favour unto me today in Jesus name.
18. As of today, my Lord and my Father grant me favour and long life in Jesus name. Job 10:12.
19. The favour that will terminate all misfortune in my life I receive it in the name of Jesus.
20. My Lord and my God, as from today henceforth, let Your favour surrounds my life and marriage in Jesus Christ name.
21. My Lord my God, let today be the set time to favour me in the mighty name of Jesus Christ – Psalm 102:13.
22. Father, let me continue to grow in status and in your favour in the name of Jesus. 1 Samuel 2:26.
23. Father, if there is anything that hindered me to be favoured, O Lord removes it with your favour in the name of Jesus Christ.
24. All the door of favour that had been close against me, is open with the favour of God in the name of Jesus.
25. By the special anointing, as from today henceforth, O Lord causes people to favour me in all my ways in the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:47.
26. My God and my Father let your goodness and favour follow me as from today henceforth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
27. All powers and spirits that are stealing my favour, you are arrest by the power of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
28. This project that I found difficult to do since all these days, Lord helps me to do it easily with your favour in the name of Jesus.
29. The favour that will cause me to excel in my academic, marital, home, and business, God endowed me in the name of Jesus.
30. As of today, anywhere I go, I receive the favour of God and men in the name of Jesus Christ.
31. My Father and my Lord, let it please You to favour me every day of my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
32. Your envelopes: O Lord my creator let me receive your favour on everything that I wrote in this envelope in the name of Jesus Christ.
33. My Father and my Lord, let your favour advertise me for good testimony, in the name of Jesus.
34. My Father and my Lord, let your favour give me the Joy of victory in the name of Jesus Christ. Luke 1: 44.
35. Lord my God, let your favour do what is difficult to believe in my life, in the name of Jesus.
