Prayer against evil garments

BIBLE READING: JEREMIAH 52:30-34

“30 In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.

31 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,

32 And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,

33 And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.

34 And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.” JEREMIAH 52:30-34

Put off the prisoner’s garment is our focus today in this prayer devotional. The garment is one of the identities to know a person or a group that we belong to at a particular time. Evil garments represent evil things and they can be in any form. For instance, a prisoner’s garment is a garment that identifies a person as a prisoner, while a lawyer can be identified with his law garment. Many people are spiritually clothed with prison garments, and that’s why life is not comfortable with them. When a man is laced with spiritual prison garments, such a person will become prey in the hands of the devil, and not have access to success, achievement, fruitfulness, or favour. It doesn’t matter your position in the church or the society, it doesn’t matter how knowledgeable or gifted you are, if you’re clothed with spiritual prison garment all things will turn down.

In Zachariah 3:3-5, the Bible affirmed that Joshua the priest was clothed with a filthy garment standing before the angel, and the Lord asked those around him to take off the filthy garment.

”Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with the change of raiment.” Zachariah 3:3-4

Spiritual prison garment is a hindrance to any destiny. Anyone clothed with evil garments is under the bondage of the satanic kingdom. The very day the prison garment was removed from Joseph, he has a change of story, he has changed of location as well as allocation and his vision come to fulfilment. Genesis 41:14-ff.

So also, Jehoiachin king of Judah had a change of story when his prison garment was removed. “And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life. And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.” JEREMIAH 52:33-34

When your prison garment is removed:

You will have a change of story.
You will experience a change of location, and your location will favour you.
You will possess your allocation.
Every barrier against your success or promotion will be breaking.
You will receive the favour of men.
Recover good things you have lost.
You become a candidate of greatness.
You join and sitting with highly recognised people.
Fulfilment of vision.

“Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh… 38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath showed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according to thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.” Genesis 41:14-41

Beloved, the greatest mistake you can make now is to see yourself as a holy person, or thinking that you are not spiritually clothed with a prison garment. Remember, Joshua was a priest, but clothed with prison garments.

Please take the following steps so that you can be free from the prison garment.

Come back to Jesus Christ, accept Him and your LORD and SAVIOUR. John 8:32, 36.

The garment of reproach that has become my identity, catch fire in the name of Jesus.
The garment of barrenness that has become my identity, catch fire in the name of Jesus.
The garment of rejection upon my life, I take it off, in the name of Jesus.
The garment of failure that has become my identity, catch fire in the name of Jesus.
The garment of sickness and affliction that has become my identity, catch fire in the name of Jesus.
Every spiritual prison garment that causing through in my life, I removed it from my life, in the name of Jesus.
By fire by thunder, I break every yoke of prison garment in my life, in the name of Jesus.
Every garment of hatred in my life and my marriage, cast fire, in the name of Jesus.
The root of evil garment in my life, be uprooted by fire, in the name of Jesus.
Every garment that attracts evil into my life, cast fire, in the name of Jesus.
Every garment that attracts sickness into my life, cast fire, in the name of Jesus.
Every garment that entices failure into my life, cast fire, in the name of Jesus.
Every garment that sends my helpers away from me, cast fire, in the name of Jesus.
