PREPARE TO ESCAPE THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT
Bible Reading: Mathew 25:31-34
“31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him, shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” Mathew 25:31-34
The Son of man will judge the nations. We understood from the scripture above that sooner than later the Son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him shall sit on the throne of his glory to judge the whole nations, each man or woman according to his previous works, earthly life and so forth.
On the day of judgement, there is nothing like mercy, no apology shall be accepted on that day. On the day of Judgement God, himself shall be the chief judge on that day humanity will not be allowed to hire legal practitioner as it is been done here on earth. There shall be no bribe and those whom God shall find worthy will be giving chance to go to heaven and those whom God shall find unworthy shall be taking to hellfire. Brethren, I have never been to heaven or hell but permit me to say that heaven is the most comfortable place to be and if there is anything that can cut you away from making heaven you better cut it away now because if you miss heaven you cannot miss hell.
LAZARUS AND THE RICH MAN
This is one of the notable cases the bible recorded relating to heaven and hellfire. Luke 16: 22-25
“22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receiveth thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.”
The above is the graphical illustration of God judgement between Lazarus and the Rich man. Lazarus was a beggar, always begging for food to eat from the rich man table yet the rich man preferred giving to his dogs than to him. And when they died Lazarus was taken to heaven and the rich man was taking to hellfire and when the rich man looked to heaven and saw Lazarus in the heaven he cried; Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame but God said; Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime received thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. Now marrying this scripture to our anchored verse, we understood that the rich man overvalues himself than others, but here is what Jesus Christ said as enshrined in Mathew 25:40-46
“40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Since ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
The rich man upon all his riches landed him to hell fire but Lazarus who was poor ended up been in heaven. And that is the reason why the bible said we should store our treasure in heaven as said in Mathew 6: 20-21, “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
Brethren, do not maltreat other people under the little power in your hand for you likewise have a master Colossian 4: 1 Master, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
I pray that God should help us so that we all shall match to heaven on that day in the name of Jesus
HOW TO ESCAPE HELLFIRE ON THE JUDGEMENT
For anyone willing to make heaven his permanent home must do the following;
You must be born again. In Christendom born again is the first step each man has to take to make heaven. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Pure heart. If you want to see the kingdom of God your heart must be pure. “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Mathew 5: 8
Have a sense of charity or generosity. Assisting people within your power and with the available resources.
“For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Mathew 25: 35-40
Serving God tirelessly. You must take God kingdom business so serious, you can as well do that by way of evangelizing, sharing of GOSPEL tracts and so forth. Mathew 6: 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Love. Hence God has so loved us to the extent of giving his only begotten son to come and save us we must as well demonstrate the same kind of love to others. John 3:16; Mathew 5: 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
